According to the Powerball website, the projected lottery prise for Saturday night’s drawing was $960 million with a cash option of $441.4 million.
The prise is the ninth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot overall and the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot ever (see charts below).
On July 19, a lottery player from California won the $1.08 billion jackpot, making it the third highest Powerball prise ever. This was the jackpot’s most recent win.
